Has your honey gone hard and sugary? Revert it to its original runny form with this simple trick. How to: decrystallise your honey
Has your honey gone hard and sugary, making it impossible to squeeze from the bottle? Don’t worry - it’s still perfectly fine to eat. Revert it to its original runny form with this simple trick.
Step 1
Remove the lid from your honey jar or bottle, and place the container in a bowl of hot water from the tap, being sure it’s mostly submerged.
Step 2
At regular intervals, stir the honey - use a chopstick if the bottle has a narrow opening. Continue until the honey is liquid again.
Step 3
Tightly re-seal the container, and store in a warm spot in your kitchen. Next to the stove is ideal.
